The Economic Development Corporation of Sarasota County (EDC) hosted its Economic Outlook 2023 Breakfast last Thursday, May 18, at the Ritz-Carlton in Downtown Sarasota. Guest speakers included three experts on the subject:
- Laura DiBella, Secretary of Commerce, State of Florida
- Dr. Jerry Parrish, Chair, Board of Economic Advisors
- Bemetra Simmons, CEO, Tampa Bay Partnership
“Over the past couple of years our community has seen businesses and individuals flock to our area changing our landscape and economy,” EDC President and CEO Lisa Krouse says in a statement. “As talk of recession looms, and areas of opportunity for growth emerge, our business leaders are looking for the most up to date and reliable economic data.”
