A new 30,000-square-foot hangar and southern headquarters reflect growing demand for private aviation services in Sarasota.

Sarasota Bradenton International Airport (SRQ) continues to expand its private aviation capabilities with the opening of a major new facility by Aircraft Services Group, a New Jersey-based aviation company specializing in private jet ownership, management and charter services.

The company celebrated the opening of its 30,000-square-foot hangar on October 1, 2026, establishing Sarasota as its southern headquarters.

A Significant Investment in Sarasota

Located at 925 Warhawk Place, the new facility includes 30,000 square feet of aircraft hangar space and an additional 5,000 square feet devoted to private amenities, including a lounge, conference room, kitchen and offices.

Aircraft owners and passengers can drive directly to the private facility for aircraft access, providing an alternative to the conventional commercial airport experience.

Founded in 1990 and headquartered in Teterboro, New Jersey, Aircraft Services Group offers private jet acquisition, charter, aircraft management, maintenance and aviation consulting services.

The company currently has four aircraft permanently based at SRQ and plans further expansion. Under its agreement with the Sarasota Manatee Airport Authority, Aircraft Services Group has committed to developing a second hangar on an adjacent parcel.

Seventy-one years later, the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport has evolved alongside the community it serves, from a modest regional airport to a gateway for residents and visitors arriving from across the country and beyond.

The addition of Aircraft Services Group’s new private aviation facility marks another chapter in that evolution, reflecting just how far Sarasota has come as a destination for business, travel and luxury living.

Private Aviation and Sarasota’s Growing Appeal

The new facility by Aircraft Services Group reflects confidence in Sarasota’s continuing growth and the increasing importance of private aviation to residents, business owners and visitors.

For those who divide their time between Sarasota and other residences or business interests, convenient access to private aviation is a meaningful advantage.

SRQ’s proximity to downtown Sarasota, Longboat Key, Bird Key and other leading residential communities makes the airport particularly accessible to the region’s luxury homeowners.

The arrival of additional aviation infrastructure also supports Sarasota’s growing position as a destination for business, investment and second-home ownership.

As the region continues to attract residents from major U.S. markets, investments such as this strengthen the services and infrastructure available to those who call Sarasota home.
